Off the Tee
Generous fairways give players a welcoming start, but the best drives still set up stronger angles into the greens.
A Scenic Course with History and StrategyDesigned by George W. Cobb in the early 1960s, the Barony Course is one of the original golf courses on Hilton Head Island. From the tee, many holes feel open and approachable, but the challenge starts to show as you get closer to the greens. Large Bermuda putting surfaces, thick rough, and well-protected bunkers make accuracy and touch just as important as distance. Barony is a great choice for golfers who enjoy a traditional layout, mature Lowcountry scenery, and a round that rewards smart course management from start to finish. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
