Kickin’ it on the Golf Course
We’re more than just golf at Port Royal Golf Club! Keep your soccer stars happy and active this summer with out FootGolf Special!
What is FootGolf?
FootGolf is the mechanics of soccer without the tireless running.
How do you play?
The goal is to kick the soccer ball into a 21” diameter cup in as few kicks as possible. It mirrors golf’s classic model. Enjoy a 9 hole game of FootGolf on our beautiful Planter’s Row.
When to Play?
Summer is the perfect time to be outside practicing your soccer skills without spending hours running in the dangerous heat. To book your game call (843) 681-1750
What are the Rules?
Set your line up and wait your turn, making sure your kick will not interfere with other players. Tee off your ball from a position up to 6 feet behind the tee. The ball must be played in a single movement, you’re not allowed to push the ball with the top or bottom of your foot. Wait until the ball has completely come to a rest. Play the ball where it lies, starting with the player farthest from the hole, just like you would in regular golf. The order of play is established based on the score of the previous hole. The player with the best score will kick off first on the next hole, followed by the second, etc. If the ball lands in water hazard, retrieve or replace it within two steps from the closest land point from where the ball entered the hazard, receiving one stroke penalty or you can place the ball in position of the previous kick and receive one stroke penalty. Out of bound markers are annotated with white stakes. Place the balls within two steps from where the ball crossed between the white stakes. And just as in regular golf, the player with the fewest kicks wins.
