Oyster Reef Golf Club Completes Clubhouse Renovations
Wednesday, April 19, 2006

Hilton Head Island, SC – The Oyster Reef Golf Club, an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Rees Jones, has recently completed over $200,000 in renovations to their Clubhouse. The most notable aspects of this sweeping project are the exterior and interior re-design. Oyster Reef replaced all windows and doors on the outside of the Club. Additionally, noted interior designer Tina Matei of Stanbury Design transformed the Clubhouse interior into a rich and luxurious space where guests can enjoy dining and shopping or relax after a round of golf on the Oyster Reef’s lush course.

“Oyster Reef has always had a spectacular golf course,” said Eddie Carpenter, General Manager of Oyster Reef. “The updated Clubhouse now mirrors that excellence.”

The Clubhouse now boasts a view to the first tee thanks to $20,000 in new outdoor landscaping. A new front entry awning, along with updates to the Locker Rooms, Golf Shop, and Banquet Rooms have also complimented the new look of the Clubhouse.

Oyster Reef Golf Club opened in 1982 and was immediately recognized as one of the top 25 New Courses in America. This Rees Jones design has been voted one of the Top 20 Courses in the Carolinas and enjoys a reputation as a favorite among Hilton Head Island golfers. Carved out of 190 acres of breathtaking low country terrain, Oyster Reef Golf Club's spectacular 18-hole championship course is surrounded by winding lagoons, lush vegetation, and scenic views of the Island and the Atlantic Ocean.

Heritage Golf Group was formed in November 1999 and its growing portfolio consists of high quality golf facilities throughout the United States, both private and daily fee. The company distinguishes itself by its dedication to unrivaled golf and uncompromising service. The company is led by Bob Husband, President and CEO.
