Heritage Golf Group Assumes Operations at Palmetto Hall Plantation Club on Hilton Head Island
Friday, April 28, 2006

San Diego, CA ― Heritage Golf Group announced today it has assumed operations of its fourth property on Hilton Head Island. Palmetto Hall Plantation Club offers 36 holes of championship golf with two courses designed by Arthur Hills and Robert Cupp respectively, in addition to the 14,000 square foot antebellum Clubhouse with numerous Member and resort amenities. This acquisition will give Heritage Golf Group a total of 135 holes of golf on the Island. CNL Income Properties Inc., an Orlando, FL based real estate investment trust (REIT), has acquired the property and entered into a long-term lease with Heritage Golf.

"This is an exciting time for the Company," said John Hungerford, Executive Vice President of Operations at Heritage Golf Group. "This premier property is an excellent addition to the Heritage Collection of Clubs on Hilton Head Island. We are always looking to add quality facilities that have a reputation for excellent golf course design and these two courses certainly meet that criteria. It also allows Heritage to offer the most diverse golf packages to resort players on the Island while at the same time providing an unrivaled golf experience for our members."

The Arthur Hills Course opened in 1991, when it was instantly dubbed a classic by Golf Magazine - rating it one of "America's Top 10 new courses". Heavily wooded with towering pines and moss-draped oaks, the lush fairways roll past crystalline lakes. Protected greens, many edged with bunkers, provide a constant challenge. The signature hole, the par-4 18th, offers a daunting finish to a spectacular game.

The Robert Cupp Course offers a unique, innovative and eminently playable experience. This course is a stunningly original design that tests the better player, but accommodates higher handicappers as well. Cupp, Golf World’s former "Architect of the Year", opened his signature course at Palmetto Hall in 1993, and the course continues to draw high praise for its flexibility, sound shot values and impeccable year-round conditioning.

Palmetto Hall Plantation Club is located at 108 Fort Howell Drive, Hilton Head Island, South Carolina 29926. For more information, call (843) 689-4100.

Since then the company has grown an impressive portfolio of high-end daily fee, resort, and private golf facilities around the country. The Heritage Portfolio represents some on the most well-known and acclaimed properties spanning California, Texas, Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina.
